Before Treatment
During the initial consultation at Charlwood Aesthetics Lucy will listen to your treatment expectations and discuss what you wish to achieve. Following an assessment of your treatment needs, Lucy will recommend which Dermal Filler treatment is most suitable for you giving a personalised approach.
After a treatment plan has been agreed, and only once you are happy to proceed, you will be asked to read, understand and sign a consent form before the treatment can begin
Treatment Explained
Dermal Filler is injected into the skin in small amounts using a very fine needle or cannula. The gel provides natural volume to smooth away the appearance of lines and wrinkles, enhance facial shape, or create fullness depending on the way it is used. Dermal Filler products improve the elasticity and texture of skin, restoring and maintaining the skins hydro balance.
The treatment is quick, typically taking about 30-60 minutes. Treatment with Dermal Fillers does not affect facial expression and the benefits can normally be seen immediately.
After Treatment
After a treatment some reactions are relatively common, these include; slight redness, swelling, itching, bruising and tenderness. The reactions are generally mild to moderate and usually disappear shortly after injection, and they typically resolve spontaneously within one or two days, but for some treatments they may last longer. In the majority of cases, our patients are able to return to work or their usual daily activities immediately.
